1st Medical Tourism Forum, Golden Destination: City of Athens and Greece, April 8th, 2015, Titania Hotel, Athens
Dr Tsekouras participated by invitation and was a member of the faculty of the 1st Conference on Medical Tourism held in Athens in March 2015, organized by "Med-Professionals", a network of specialized medical group. He also delivered a speech entitled: “Innovations and new developments in plastic surgery”.
The Conference paid tribute to medical tourism in Greece, with the participation of a distinguished scientific committee involving doctors, surgeons, Presidents of tourism networks and medical tourism agencies.
The main purpose of the Conference was to explore how to boost medical tourism in Greece by constructing bonds of confidence and trust among tourists, health organizations, international insurance companies and tour facilitators. Also, the Conference pointed out the innovations and techniques that can make Greece an exceptional destination at an international level.
The conference was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health, representatives of other countries (China, Russia) providing information and detailed material on specific institutional arrangements in the field of medical tourism.
