Varicose Veins

Οften enough, both women and men worry about unsightly marks from broken blood vessels, which are blue or red in color and spread out into a web-shaped form.

The so-called varicose or spider veins is mainly cosmetic problem, characterized by small dilated blood vessels, equal to or more than 3mm in diameter. They most often occur on the legs (thighs, calves), but they might also be located on the face (nose, cheeks).

In our clinic, depending on the extent of the problem, we suggest treatments that can be performed selectively or even in combination.

Process

For smaller diameter blood vessels, we use a specialized pulsed laser (V-BEAM Laser) in combination with Nd Yag Laser, which selectively target and eliminate them, while protecting the surrounding tissues and skin.

For large diameter vessels, we recommend the technique of sclerotherapy. This is a non-surgical technique, which involves the injection of a solution at the specific site into the vein. This medication causes fibrosis and gradual disappearance of the vessel wall. This prevents the blood from re-entering the vessel and is no longer visible.

In more complex cases of different blood vessel diameter, we combine sclerotherapy treatment with laser, in order to achieve the best possible results.

Results

After a few sessions, the skin is varicose vein-free.
